This site is dedicated to the memory of Harry Long.

Harry Long was born in Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, London on August 15, 2014. He is much loved and will always be remembered by all his friends and family.

We were all so excited for his arrival- I was to be an auntie for the first time, my sister and brother in law parents for the first time and my parents were to be first time grandparents. Harry couldn't wait to meet his mummy and daddy, he was born 3 months premature. He was born at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital on Friday 15th August at 08.08pm, weighing just 900grams. He was then taken to be cared for in the neonatal unit for 6 days. During the first few days he had several blood transfusions and so many tests we lost count. We watched as the nurses looked after Harry, holding his hand through the incubator windows and watching him kick his tiny little legs. We told him how much we loved him and made sure he knew he wasn't on his own.
Harry was a brave and courageous little boy but sadly he passed away on Thursday 21st August. We think about Harry every day and the short time he was with us was truly precious.
The pain our family have felt is indescribable and I want to make this different for other families. Bliss gave us the chance to spend 6 precious days with Harry.
All babies should be able to have the best possible start in life. Harry was only with us for a short while but he will forever be in our  hearts.
We are planning to raise money by holding different events such as quiz nights, sponsored swims, a marathon, cake sales and  many more! Please support us in any way you can and give as much as you can, no matter how small, for a charity close to our hearts.
Bliss fund research, family support and neonatal nurses in order to give sick and premature babies the best chance of survival.
